Technology Supported Pedagogy in a Flexible, Mobile, Learning Environment

چکیده

The introduction of new technologies into the classroom is expected to foster active learning by engaging students in the process. Recent technological additions to this environment have included Tablet PCs, wireless network access and interactive whiteboards. Used effectively, these individual technologies have the potential to change the classroom dynamic and foster new pedagogical approaches. However if used collectively the potential impact, benefits and pitfalls may all be greatly increased. This paper investigates and analyzes the effectiveness and usefulness of a combination of advanced technologies as a tool for teaching in the context of a technologically enhanced, mobile and flexible learning environment. The overall focus is on the use of technology to augment traditional teaching methods with the end objective of increasing the level of student engagement, motivation and interaction.
